The book namely Đặc khảo Ca trù Việt Nam (Monograph on Vietnamese Ca trù) is a part of the national file on "Vietnamese Ca trù" realized by the Vietnamese Institute for Musicology to submit to the UNESCO for its consideration to be recognized as a masterpiece of oral and intangible cultural heritage of the humanity. The Vietnamese version was released to the public in late June 2006, when the international conference on "Vietnamese Ca trù" was held.

The more than 600-page book which is divided into 4 main parts is a gathering of the results of interdisciplinary studying on different aspects of Ca trù, the Han-Nom materials, Ca trù- related pictures of historical relics and information on folk artists now and then.
Đặc khảo Ca trù Việt Nam makes readers access to the art of Ca trù in a scientific and serious manner. The English version will be published late 2006.
