Musician Hoàng  Việt (1928-1976) also known as Lê Trực and Lê Quỳnh had real name Lê  Trí Trực.

He wrote the first symphony of Vietnam modern music named Homeland, the symphony No.1 at C Major. After completed and firstly performed in Bulgaria, it has regularly been played by global and local symphony orchestras.

The piece was a symphony sonata medley for symphony orchestra consisting of 4 chapters of which the finale was for the Choir and Orchestra. Music material was tunes of familiar revolutionary and folk songs.
